In July of 1998, Voodoo Lounge changed their name to Steel Wheels, and Jana remained a member of the band. We were a Rolling Stones tribute band and featured Mick Jagger and Keith Richards impersonators. The band was based in Las Vegas, NV.

Band Members
Band members were James Ferris (Mick Jagger impersonator, vocals, keyboards, bass), Joe Kennedy (Keith Richards impersonator, guitar, vocals), Scott Tate (guitar), Mark Stanley (drums). Sometime in 1998 Mark was replaced by Jack O’Hara (drums, vocals). For a short period of time, we added Jimmy (guitar). For bigger gigs, we added more musicians, including Donny Miller (keyboards) and sometimes Rocky Peoples (saxophone), Eric Blakely (guitar), Sid Fischer (guitar) and John Carillo (percussion).

Venues
We performed at various venues in and around Las Vegas, including the Monte Carlo Microbrewery, Nevada Landing (Stateline, NV), Carollos, Sand Dollar Blues Lounge, Time Inn Lounge, Joshua’s, All Star Cafe, LV Harley Davidson Grand Opening, Sunset Street Fair at Sunset Station, Avi Hotel and Casino (Laughlin, NV), LV Street Fair, House of Blues (in Mandalay Bay), Hard Rock Cafe and a Nellis AFB Airshow. We also played the Lac Courte Oreilles Casino in Hayward, WI. We had the distinct pleasure to have, as special guest for our performances at the Hard Rock Cafe, none other than Bobby Keys, saxophone player for the real Rolling Stones! He was a pleasure to work with and a thrill to share the stage with.
